Science and sea creatures

Sorry this has been a while in coming...but here's some of Room 9's sea creatures from Sam M and Romany. We all designed some great sea creatures and showed some creative and clever adaptations at the end of last term. You can see there's some great work and thought put into these two and there were plenty more! We've also been working hard on science fair investigations and carrying out some experiments in class so that we're familiar with the process of what involved in a thorough scientific investigation. We've made some interesting discoveries about salt water, milk, detergent, and water balloons.

Japanese language

This term we're lucky to have Jess from Otago Girls High School coming along each Tuesday to help us learn Japanese. The sessions have been full-on so far, we've learnt heaps of language and some actions and songs to help us remember. We know greetings for different times of day, some classroom instructions, how to introduce ourselves and how to ask someone their name.
